As a direct result of the stay at home order in early 2020 for the vulnerable & elderly, due to Covid-19, BAGN set up this scheme to ensure no-one goes without while isolating.

BAGN has been able to continue getting community members’ essential shopping & prescriptions to them without them having to leave their home.

The scheme has shown a huge need for this essential service & has continued throughout the changing Covid-19 climate, as long as there are community members requesting our help, our volunteers will be here to support them.

Extra Support: An extension of this service has been our ‘Re-introduction into the community’ scheme where our volunteers help residents settle into the new normal. After long periods of isolation Crewkerne Town looks different with masks, queuing & cashless purchasing. These new practices can be extremely confusing & residents simply may not be aware of any changes. Our volunteers can talk & walk residents through the community changes & ever-changing local restrictions to give them the confidence they need.
