About Us

Formed in response to the Covid-19 Global Pandemic, a team of more than 150 volunteers support their local Somerset community through an array of beneficial schemes which focus on helping the vulnerable & isolated. BAGN has helped more than 4,000 Somerset residents already & will continue indefinitely due to on-going community needs.

Whether you, or someone you know from the Crewkerne, or surrounding area, could benefit from a friendly phone call, top-up food supply or shopping delivery service, we urge you to get in contact so BAGN can assist with no questions asked & no judgment.

Shopping Support

Free pick-up & delivery of shopping & prescriptions for those vulnerable or isolating.

Telephone Support

Combatting loneliness with regular calls to community members facing isolation or struggling with their Mental Health.

Free Meals

Responding to the needs our our community, we no longer run the meal delivery service as of June 2021.

Food Bank Top-Up Service

No referral necessary top-up scheme for community members in need of additional food.

School Supplies Support

We provide high-quality school supplies for local students & families unable to afford it due to any circumstances.


Crewkerne

With a population of just over 7,800, Crewkerne is nestled in Somerset & borders Dorset. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, this market town is called home by a significant number of elderly residents who have arguably been hit hardest by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our main community outreach involves Crewkerne residents but extends to surrounding areas if the need arises.
